Building trust with the Japanese is important.

But when it comes to asking people about their country, we can’t always believe what they say.

That’s because people tend to generalise about Japan, based on their own experiences and perspective.

That can be a problem when it comes to business, as generalisations oversimplify the varied ways companies operate.
